認識朴永哲
朴永哲在法拉盛出生。他的父母是韓國移民，早年曾不辭辛勞地做過街頭小販，後來開了一家自己的小店。和皇后區許多移民家庭一樣，朴永哲的父母憑藉辛勤努力與堅定的決心，白手起家，安家立業。這段成長經歷讓朴永哲深切體會到政府的職責所在：那就是保障工薪家庭的機會、尊嚴與生活安全。
帶著服務公眾的使命感，朴永哲於2010年在歐巴馬總統任內成為一名美國外交官。2019年，為了抗議川普政府的移民政策，他毅然辭職，並回到皇后區投入社區工作。他曾擔任社區組織者，長期服務移民群體；也曾在市議員辦公室幫助選民解決問題、服務社區。朴永哲是一位丈夫、一位父親，也是一名寄養家長。他這次參選國會議員，就是為了確保皇后區的工薪家庭擁有一位能夠挺身而出、敢於發聲並為他們而戰的代表。
