Meet Chuck Park

Chuck was born in Flushing to Korean immigrants who worked tirelessly as street vendors and then opened their own small business. Like many immigrant families in Queens, Chuck’s parents built a life through sacrifice and determination. Their experience shaped Chuck’s understanding of what government should do: protect opportunity, dignity, and security for working families.

Chuck followed that call, becoming a U.S. diplomat under President Obama in 2010. He resigned in 2019 to protest President Trump’s immigration policies, and turned to local organizing in Queens. He worked as a community advocate focusing on immigrant communities, and a city government leader supporting constituents across his city council district. Chuck is a husband, a dad, and a foster parent, and he is running to ensure that working families in Queens have a representative who will stand up, speak out, and fight for them.
